Dear WALKABOUT SALES
I couldn t have brought my motorhome from more obliging, genuine, and continuously so, people. they presented the vehicle well with many extras within and also were more than willing to address anything I felt needed a little titivating. Anything extra I wanted doing out of the boundaries and more for my benefit they had contacts who were very efficient and excellent work was completed. The vehicle has more than proved how work efficient and comfortable it is especially on the interesting and challenging roads in New Zealand. The standard at Walkabout Sales n Rentals I would say are excellent and their after care and their warranties are very good covering 2 years, most are seeminly 1 year so that was very beneficial. Many Thanks for your help and going the extra mile with no worries. More than that continuing to do so. Kindest Regards.
Jennie Chaddock
After looking at many motorhomes / campervans we visited Shane at Walkabout to view their selection of homes, we were very impressed with the open plan of the 6 berth and the very high quality of the finish inside and out. We had looked at Fiat, Mercedes and Ford but we were sold on the Mitsubishi Fuso based on our own reviewing and feedback from people in the transport industry. Whilst we blew out our budget and bought the low km 2008 Fuso 6 berth we are very pleased with the investment and are very proud owners, you would not know that this motorhome has been a rental. The whole vehicle is in immaculate condition. During the pre purchase period Shane replaced the front tyres without question and followed up with a new DVD player which was on order at the time of purchase. Shane was very pleasant and professional with the entire purchasing process and follow-up , I would have no hesitation in recommending Walkabout Sales.

Dear Walkabout Sales As first time Motor home owners Beverley and I were concerned at making the right decision about our purchase. We pursued the net, looked at for sales yards and visited several private For Sale Motor homes. It wasn't until we discovered Walkabout Sales .Shane that we felt comfortable with making a decision. Shane sat down with us for over 2hrs and went through all sorts of scenarios of what we needed and how he could help, it was for us very assuring to have a real genuine person whom we had just met giving us un bias advise on such a large capital investment. We certainly have NO regrets with the purchase we subsequently made. We purchased a Mitsubishi Fuso 6 berth Motor home because of the décor, the roomy layout and the practicality of the whole home! (The grand kids just love the D V D).Everything Shane promised was done, even down to the delivery time and date.Since delivery we have had several text messages and emails just as follow up by Shane to see if things are all well. We have only owned our Motor home for 3 weeks and already are realising the opportunities that a Motor home gives us. Thanks Shane for selling us a product that we know will serve us well and we feel that we have made a great friend that is truly genuine. Keep up the good work,
Edwin & Beverley Smith
We have no regrets whatsoever about buying our motorhome from Walkabout Sales and Rentals. They have proven themselves by always being friendly, ready to help us promptly with any situation that may occur, providing us with helpful advice and hints etc and taking an interest in us and our travels. They are genuinely honest, decent people to deal with and we highly recommend them. We love our motorhome. Faye & Neil Way

Again, thanks very much for your personal touch Shane , and for the chopping board, which Lyn thinks she will frame, rather than use it. Dave & Lyn Taylor * Having recently taken delivery of one of your latest six berth Luxury motorhomes . We wish to thank you for your excellent service in supplying it delivered almost to our home ,also in the way you have built it and fitted out the vehicle to such a very high standard. - Why is Mitsubishi Fuso the answer for a motorhome ?
Our experience indicates the Mitsubishi Fuso has a proven reliability that speaks for itself , they are built robust, doing well over 500,000km which means they are built to last. They are built to tow ,they have low maintenance costs ,and they dont break down . Ask any company that run these.
.
Before you look at buying a motorhome look at the price of what it is new ?? Then look at the price on the market say about 5 years old to see what it is going to be worth then !! Back to top
- Can you fit a towbar ?
Yes the Mitsubishi Fuso is designed for a towbar to be fitted , and the important things are the clutch , the chassis and the engine are all heavy duty to tow without a problem . The towbar rating is 2500kg max. Back to top
- What is the (Tare Weight ) of the motorhome?
This is 3850kg this is important to ask , as maximum weight to drive on a car licence is 4500kg.
All our motorhomes can be driven on a car licence. Back to top
- Why is the GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) Important ?
Some motorhomes have a GVM of 4500kg and a tare weight of say 3600kg . This means the vehicle is designed to take the maximum load of 4500kg , this does not mean its entire life . This must be considered relative to the life you will get out of the engine and drive train when it is close to the GVM weight for its entire life ,This is also important to remember even more so if you fit a towbar to the vehicle . This extra weight can sometimes also have affect on excessive clutch and brake wear if the GVM has a low rating. Back to top
- Why should i only look at a Fuso and not a Canter ??
The Canter 3.6 litre is a good vehicle mechanically , but the Fuso 3.9 turbo has advanced so much in technology and features it is not worth going backwards .The fuso 3.9 Turbo is so quiet in the cab on the highway ,you wont get a headache from the noise like the 3.6 Canter . The Fuso 3.9 now has front and rear stabiliser bars that reduce body roll for improved comfort, vehicle stability and dramatically improve cornering and road handling. They have ABS Brakes . Drivers Air Bag,and much more. When you are spending good money dont regret buying the wrong model. and these are the things what people are looking for in a motorhome , dont forget this also reflects resale value which you have to consider. Back to top
- Do you offer FREE delivery ?
Yes anywhere in NZ ,both your New or Used motorhome Back to top
- What is the Warranty ?
All of the Mitsubishi Fusos are still under warranty , and have a 3 year or 100,000km warranty from new on the cab & chassis , which ever occurs first. Back to top

This is always the question that people like to hear - The fibreglass exterior is made in NZ for NZ conditions ,The UV is totally different in NZ to other countries ,and the availibility of spare parts later down the track . Back to top
- NZMCA Self Contaiment ?
Yes all Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles have been certified from NZMCA for self containment . Back to top

No all of the motorhomes we have you can drive on a standard car licence , this is also important to consider this , as not everyone has a HT licence , and there are many suggestions that you have better re sell value if the vehicle can be driven on a standard car licence as anyone can drive one with a car licence.
